Innovation and Commercialization Park focus: nanotechnologies

...Hattiesburg is developing a 521-acre Innovation and Commercialization Park,
designed as a magnet for high-tech companies relocating to or starting up in
South Mississippi that want to gain access to university expertise in polymers
and high performance materials.
...The first building will have computer simulation and robotic-driven processing
equipment that can reduce the time needed to develop high-performance
materials.
...The U.S. Department of Commerce is providing $20 million in funding for the
construction of the park. An additional $10.5 million in funding from the
Department of Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and the Small
Business Administration has also been received.
...The park is located to the northwest of the main campus in Hattiesburg.
